Series Description
Some of life’s greatest lessons aren’t learned in a classroom—they’re learned with dirt on your hands.
In this series, we share real experiences from our family garden and the deeper lessons they reveal about faith, parenting, personal growth, stewardship, and family life. From pulling weeds and battling pests to planting seeds and celebrating harvests, every season in the garden reflects a season we experience in our own lives.
As we work in the garden, we’re continually reminded that growth takes time, healthy things require care, and small problems often become bigger ones when left unattended.
Our hope is that these stories encourage you to slow down, look a little closer, and discover the lessons God may be teaching through the ordinary moments around you.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” — Philippians 1:6

Why We Started the Lessons from the Garden Series
A look at how a simple family garden became a classroom for faith, parenting, patience, and personal growth.
Season 1: Growth and Cultivation
1. Small Holes, Big Problems
How tiny caterpillars eating our greens reminded us that small issues in our hearts and homes can grow into larger problems if left unchecked.

2. Pulling Weeds Before They Spread
What weeds taught us about attitudes, habits, and influences that compete for our attention.

3. Seeds Take Time
Learning patience when growth isn’t visible and trusting the process even when nothing seems to be happening.
4. Not Every Plant Grows at the Same Pace
A lesson about comparison, contentment, and allowing each child—and ourselves—to grow in their own season.
